Jack O Lantern Jam

A couple of my friends church had a fun little gathering Sunday evening. We heard music, ghost stories, the kids played games and trick or treated. 

Township square trick or treat

The kids trick or treated yesterday. There was a movie being shown later, but we didn't stay for that. It was hot outside, so Caboose took off his creeper jacket. 

Field trip

Princess had a field trip yesterday to the natural science museum. A friend sent this photo to me. 

Third tooth

Caboose lost his third tooth yesterday! He was so excited. 

We had our fall festival last night. Mr CopperCoin got off work early enough to join us for a little while.  The kids had fun and ran all over the place. I only took this one photo because I couldn't keep up with them. 

Caboose is Eight!

I can't believe this funny, loud, boy that completes our family is 8 already!! We love him so much and we would be so bored without him. 

Waiting

These two waited and waited for the bus yesterday, and it never came. Oldest left them to get on his bus. Mr CopperCoin left work and took them to school. But now, we know a couple of neighborhood friends that can help us if it ever happens again. 

Creating things

These two made rain sticks, stress balls, hourglass timers with old bottles, maracas, you name this weekend with duct tape and junk found around the house. 

First day on the job was good, it was just orientation. Fun fact- The campus I am at has 25,000 people on it any given day.

It's his whole face!!

Oldest let us see his face without hair covering his eyes the other night. He was silly too-

Today is my first day of work. It's orientation. Say a prayer for me!

Making Pizza

We made our own personal pizzas the other night. We got a kit from the band fundraiser. The pizza was good, but not nearly enough there to feed our family. 

Hair cut

I'm not sure if you can tell, but Caboose had a hair cut. 

It's a chilly Friday morning for waiting on the bus. 

Stowaway

This little guy took up residence in the garage last night. He was still there this morning when I got the kids ready for school. 

The kids love the Y. Both have made friends and even do their homework all on their own. 

Soccer in Hooterville

Caboose had a soccer game last night. Looking back, perhaps the cleat check should have been a sign....

We were there barely ten minutes into the game, the ref made a bad call. Our coach said something to him about it, and then the ref called the game over. So much for soccer in Hooterville. 

Oldest

Doing what he loves, talking to friends while playing games. 

Fort number 3,890

These two love making "forts." They have made them since they were toddlers, and they keep improving. Their forts used to be just piles of pillows. Their latest fort, however, has reading spots, bookshelves, and art stations. 

Plaque

I took this picture right around the time Caboose announced he had plaque all over his teeth.

He never wants his picture taken. He didn't want to look at me. He's been extra antisocial lately. 

Creeper

Caboose is so excited he got his creeper jacket yesterday. It's going to be his Halloween costume and his everyday jacket. He's so grateful to his Bops and Gee for the jacket. 

Soccer

Last night Caboose had a game across town. 

Princess got a little silly. 

At the park again

Princess and Caboose begged to go back to the park for more minnows and tadpoles since I "accidentally" spilled them right back into the creak Saturday. 

I captured the few moments they enjoyed the actual playground equipment.

Creating

Princess makes creations and puts them in a binder. 

I spy

Can you spot Princess? We went to the park yesterday to enjoy the awesome weather. I wasn't the only one with the idea, so it was crowded. I felt like I was playing I spy all afternoon. 

Friday night

I babysat a friend of mines kids overnight last night. We went to the park with our dinner. 

No one wanted their picture taken. 

Only Cooper, the dog. 

We ended up getting kicked out of the park because there are no dogs allowed. 

Fundraiser

A friend of mine invited me to a fundraiser last night. It was fun, and the food was delicious. We had a four course meal, and I ate duck for the first time.

Habitat

All week after school, Princess and Caboose have been working on a "habitat" in a big plastic storage container.
