Swim Lessons

Today we could watch what the kids learned in swim lessons this week. Princess was still afraid and Caboose did great. 

Fun in the Sun

We went to see "Horton Hears A Who."  Oldest was a Camp Wild. Princess and Caboose did well. They got a little restless near the end. 

Swim Lessons

These two are taking swim lessons the next two weeks. They are enjoying an after swim treat. 

Slip and Slide

Bored much?

Oldest must have been bored on the drive to St.Louis and the drive home. I found these crazy pictures on my iPad.

Bluebirds

We have a bluebird nest in this old birdhouse I found at an estate sale.  They won't let me get too close, so these are the best shots I could get.

 

 

 

City Museum

Saturday we drive to St. Louis and went to the City Museum. 

There was an eclectic mix of things there, such as this bus dangling over the edge of the roof. (By the way, the museum is housed in an old shoe factory).

 

There were caves to climb in and through. There were faces in the caves. 

There was a rooftop to explore and play.....

On the roof you can climb, slide, and ride a Ferris wheel from the 1940's. 

This is looking down from the roof. You can see there is an old aircraft and tunnels to climb through on the second floor. 

There was a train to ride if you are under 48" tall...

There was an oddity area where the world's largest underwear is located, as well as old signs and Elvis Presley's old camper.  

I was amazed by the beautiful architectural salvage found all around the museum. 

The mosaic floor there is the largest in the United States. It wrapped up columns too.

The museum wore us all out, especially Caboose. 

We loved the City Museum.

Fun with Nanny

The kids spent the day with Nanny yesterday while Mr. Coppercoin and I had a nice time going to Ikea.

Zoey Kisses

Oldest got a few kisses from Zoey today.
