Weekend Recap

Oldest participated in the Pinewood Derby. He and Mr Coppercoin enjoyed some good father-son time. Neighbor friends came over and played, the house is sufficiently trashed, and too much tv was watched.

Cake!

Mr Coppercoin got a cake to celebrate my birthday. The kids were excited to see me blow the candles out. I'm still in shock about how fast the years go by.

A Little Foot

For some reason I think my children's little feet are so cute. This is Caboose's little foot.

Sleepovers

Oldest had his best friend sleep over at our house Saturday night, and Princess slept over at a friend's house last night.

It is rare to see snow in the south. Caboose declared it must be Christmas, Oldest thought it a miracle, and Princess was just amazed.

Rain

We are on the ninth day in a row of rain.

Pinewood Derby Preperations

The younger two were fascinated with Mr. Coppercoin's work on Oldest's Pinewood Derby car. Oldest wants it to look like a Minecraft Creeper. This is the progress so far.

Yesterday Oldest fell asleep on the bus. His friends painted a mustache on him. He didn't want me to take his picture, so here is one I took discreetly...

Caboose put his hat on and got serious about practicing his scissor skills.

Kiss Nail Dress

Over the holidays I received a Holiday VoxBox filled with products to test complementary of Influenster. One product I tested was Kiss Nail Dress. These are stick on nails. They are so much better than press on nails, these really stuck well. The only problem I found was that the stickers were large for my fingernails. They can be trimmed with scissors, but it was difficult. Princess and I both tried them, and we had matching nails! Cousins

I made pancakes in my Grandmother's skillet for the kids this morning. I even noticed I mixed the batter in her old bowl. I looked over the bar and saw Princess and her cousin waiting for the pancakes. It reminded me of waiting for pancakes with my cousin, and I am grateful for those happy memories. I hope my children will have happy memories too.

Big Box of Projects

Caboose and Princess kept busy today working on the big box of projects their Bops and G gave Princess for Christmas.
