I can't resist taking his picture when he sleeps. He looked like his baby self yesterday. His cute little cheeks all scrunched up and that Gerber baby mouth just melts my heart.

These Two

I remember being scared to death about their closeness in age. It was rough when they were babies. I went from a mom that took her first born and second born to everything, the library, the park, any festival, you name it, to a mom that could barely leave the house. It was like moving, there was so
much to take, and Caboose would get fussy, or I needed to feed him, or Princess wandered off. Oldest was a good sport. Even now, these two play together all the time. They have their share of fights, but more often than not, they are playing together. They are best friends whether they will admit it or not. It kind of leaves Oldest as a third wheel. I'm not sure if he minds or not, he can be kind of a loner. All I know is that these two have played and played while Oldest has been away.

Happy Birthday Grandpapa

He was the lover of a corny joke, "how many farts can you get from a can of beans? Farty four!"  He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. 

And maybe the writer of a corny line or two....

He loved his days in "show business" and was proud to tell you all about it. 

In addition to his avid love of music, he enjoyed photography and took annual family Christmas photos. 

To me, he was Grandpapa, a person who loved his family and his life. So, Happy Birthday, Grandpapa. I know you are playing your base fiddle to Grandmama in heaven.

Lice and Legos

Here are the kids waiting on our $389 lice prescription. Needless to say, ended up with more Rid. Now both have lice and both got treated last night. I've washed and washed and sprayed so much anti lice stuff I'm surprised any of us can breath. Here is hoping this last round did the trick.

 We've had to turn down so many play date requests I felt sorry for them and bought them Legos. I'm a sucker that way, (plus they have played nicely all day).

Legos

I will remember this as the summer of lice and the Lego Movie. They watch it almost daily, and beg for Lego Movie Lego sets. I built one for them yesterday, and it only took me 3 hours :0

Painting Blocks

Oldest

This guy left to stay with his Nanny and Papaw this morning. He was so happy. I know he gets annoyed by his little brother and sister, and is bored here. I hope he behaves himself and gets plenty of fresh air.

Tumbling

Princess decided to try out tumbling this summer. She really likes it, and is considering tumbling this Fall instead of dancing.
The pictures aren't great, I had to take them through glass.

This Cat

The kids love this cat. Oldest named her Maca. Princess and Caboose call her Lucky. I call her Cat as an ode to Breakfast at Tiffany's. The line where Holly says, "I named him Cat because he belongs to nobody and nobody belongs to him." This cat is loved more than our cat that pees and poops in wrong places.

At Mr.Coppercoin's birthday dinner we discovered Caboose likes peanuts.

Pure Ice

As a member of @Influenster, I was asked to try out the Pure Ice nail polish that sells exclusively at Wal-Mart. It is only $1.97, and there are tons of colors.





I got a pretty, sparkly color named "Wide Awake."





It is a fun color...

Princess had her friend sleepover after Vacation Bible School last night. They swam, and swam, and made an early Father's day gift.
