Mandalas and minions

Caboose and Princess requested crafts this morning. Princess wanted any craft, and Caboose wanted a minion craft. 

Non-snow day

The kids didn't have school yesterday because of uncertain weather. It ended up being a cold and rainy day. We all relaxed and enjoyed not having to get out in the rain.  We played board games again, and had an impromptu coloring session. 

Games

Games were played on our day off from school...

What shall we do today? Yes, they are out of school again today. We are holding out at one degree above freezing, which means no snow, just cold rain. 

Snuggle buddies

It's cold and rainy out, on this "snow day," so everybody is snuggling.

Field trip

Princess had a field trip to a local bakery yesterday.

The old/new couch

Our 15 year old couch had seen better days, yet we didn't want to buy a new one with our kids being so destructive. My cousin was kind enough to give us her old couch.  

Since we didn't think even the local good will would want it, mr copper coin just cut up the old couch to get it ready for the trash.....

Rainy Monday

The kids had a holiday on this wet and cold day. They sculpted with clay and play dough. 

They also had some silly time ...

Valentines

The kids spent the day playing with their valentine toys from their grandparents. 

Sugar high

The kids had their Valentine parties and got a lot of candy and ate a lot of sweets. 

New glasses

Oldest got his glasses in today. He says he can see so much better.  

Under the weather

We picked up Oldest from school. He said his head hurt him and his stomach.

These two had fun playing in heels and jackets yesterday. 

Novelty of new

I bought a chair from my cousin, and the kids immediately fought over who gets to sit in it. Let's see how long it can stay clean.... I'm guessing not very long. 

In other news, the crabs lined up in a row for a cry of help. Apparently, I had neglected their tank and there were gnats in it, yuck. Their tank is now clean, and I am shocked that if they stay alive until May, they will be 2 years old! 

Glasses

Oldest said he had trouble seeing, so I took him to the eye doctor. When we got there, Caboose said he forgot his shoes. It was too late to get them, so he walked in barefoot. 

It turned out Oldest needed a little help from glasses for reading, but doesn't need them all the time. Oldest picked out these glasses-

He went with the pair on the left. He's excited about the glasses. I think he wants to look like a hipster. 

Party animals

We had a glow pump it up party to go to last night. 

Haircut

Caboose had a hair cut...
